#2 Live lobsters at the door and other interesting stuff.....

  Welcome to Solomon's my local grocery store. It is actually just around the corner from my place and an easy drive, should there be such a thing here driving on the left hand side of the road and all. They have a "pick and go" that opens at noon. I think I've tried all of the dishes in the last week and not wild about any - chicken, fish, ribs, mack and cheese, coleslaw, salads. I'm on a no-cook kick which might have to end. I bought chicken breast in a can which I haven't tried yet. Hope it's cooked!!! Don't whine to me about prices in Canada. Here on an island with everything being imported, prices are outrageous. This $19.59 USD becomes $27.96 Canadian and I flush it away every day!!! There are 5 units in this building and I rarely see or talk to anyone so when I looked out of my backdoor and saw this crowd I was shocked. #1 - Three Days to get to Paradise

  It is hard to believe that so much can happen in just three days. Day one found me going to the township office to get the taxi that was going to take me to the airport hotel. It was to arrive at 8:05. I had taken it many times in the past and suddenly at 8:20 I suddenly felt panic as I declared to Ray, "They have forgotten me!!!" A quick call brought the trauma under control, they were running late. They had called 3 times on my old land line, canceled in June, and all was good. Life lesson....changing providers can be life changing..... All checked into Four Points Sheridan where I always stay before a trip as I can see the airport from the hotel and in a pinch I could walk or crawl that far to get on my flight. I had a delightful lunch with two friends I taught with at Caledon East and then supper with my girls Melanie and Kahia. Lovely relaxing times.   I had a mountain of luggage. One checked bag at 50 lbs which was mine and another large 35 lb bag of yarn and needles ...
